The North Dakota Council on the Arts was created in 1967 to support and encourage artistic development.  They want to ensure that the arts will continue to grow in North Dakota and feel that is it an important part in the educational experience of everyone.  The Council works to show the important value art has on the communities and the welfare of the people in North Dakota.  They want to make everyone aware of the opportunities and benefits that the arts bring to the people of North Dakota.
