The Northeastern Wisconsin Arts Council is now newARTS – a new organization with a revitalized mission. They’ve been operating since 1979 as a non-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life for the citizens of Northeastern Wisconsin through efforts to support, foster and promote the arts. In 2005, they restructured to enable them to serve the arts in that community.


PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Northeastern Wisconsin Arts Council - newARTS! works to support the arts through public art programs and grants to local arts organizations. The works displayed in the public art programs are solicited through a rigorous proposal process and selected by a panel of experts from throughout the area.  They foster the arts by providing scholarships to students of the visual, performing and literary arts – a list of recent winners can be found at the website listed above. They promote the arts through various partnerships and collaborations with local performing arts groups and other non-profit cultural and arts organizations.
